Our 2026 edition welcomes a new partnership agreement!

The IBA ICC Moot Court Competition is thrilled to share that the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies of Leiden University and the International Bar Association have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding, extending their partnership until 2031!

During the busy days of our recent 2025 edition in The Hague, representatives of both institutions came together to sign the new MoU. Under the renewed agreement, the Grotius Centre continues to organize and host the Competition in partnership with the IBA. This marks the conclusion of the first five-year cycle with the IBA as the Grotius Centre’s main partner for the Competition, and the beginning of a new five-year cycle.

Our Project Leader, Maria Jaramillo Gomez, shared: ‘The new MoU opens an exciting new stage as the Competition continues to grow every year. Renewing our partnership ensures we keep reaching students worldwide and educating new generations about international criminal law. As I shared during our Awards Ceremony last month, the Competition is only possible thanks to the immense collective effort behind it, including our partner and organizers, who help create a memorable week in The Hague for our teams, judges, and bench clerks. I can’t wait to see what next year will bring!’
